Need help, preparing for important competitions!!
This question confused me: In how many ways can six different gifts be given to five different children witheach child receiving at least one gift and each gift being given to exactly one child?
I'm not sure about how to approach this problem.
Are we considereding gender and age as factors for the discrete distribution properties of the gifts? Also can we assume that all of them present giving is final? Also what ig the presents themselves have modular pieces that can be traded around and manipulated by the individual discretion of each child?
I'm very confused on how to eliminate the unecessary varibles, how do i eliminate them?
